Permaculture is a design system that integrates the patterns and flows of nature, together with the human element. It strongly supports the value of cooperation with nature rather than working against it. It was founded by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in the 1970s. Permaculture has three Ethics that stand as its pillars: Care for the earth, care for people, and fair share.

Kalipay Wellness Center was developed using these values and was designed using a Permaculture master plan.

Permaculture is heavily influenced by those who live close to nature, and have demonstrated continuous inhabitation within biodiverse ecosystems. As we strive to live naturally and appropriately on Earth, we develop our natural skills, keep
seeds, and share perspectives of a worldview rooted in the wisdom of the Earth.
