The beauty of nature can be captured in dried and pressed form. Students of this class with learning how to collect, press, store, and use pressed flowers and leaves in visual art expressions. The class includes all art materials.

About the Teacher:
Penelope started her career as a self-thought-pressed flower artist under the name of ‘Penny Velasco’. From 1994 until 2017, she exhibited her works in the Philippines and in San Francisco USA. These range from visual art (mixed media), pressed flowers on glass installation, artist books, botanical herbarium collections, and children’s book collage illustrations. She is a poet, children’s book writer, and illustrator and she has published 2 books for environmental awareness.
